Units are rounded up. Fewer machines means fewer rack positions: the M73 reaches the same target in about half as many units, built for hydro colocation.

Questions

Choosing between them.

The M70S is rated at about 13.5 J/TH, and the M70 and M73 at about 14.5 J/TH. Each suits a different operator: the M70S fits air cooled efficiency on long holds, the M70 a lean upfront outlay, and the M73 raw hashrate density in a hydro environment.

The M73, at 470 to 526 TH/s in a single unit. It draws about 7,200 W, so at $0.07 per kWh its electricity is about $363 a month; the profitability calculator compares net earnings.

Only in a facility that supports liquid cooling. The M73 needs a liquid loop; air cooled M70S units and hydro M73 units can share a hybrid facility equipped for both, like ours.

Yes. We host the M70, M70S and M73 in Southeast Texas, served by Entergy Texas, at $0.07 per kWh all in, with no performance fees and 24/7 NOC monitoring.
