Electricity rate
The home option uses the US residential average, 18.3 cents per kWh in July 2026 (EIA). Rates vary widely by state and utility.

Estimates assume 24/7 operation at the top of the rated hashrate, a 3.125 BTC block reward, no pool fee and no transaction fees. Real hashrate varies about 3% and power about 5%. BTC price and difficulty change continuously; nothing here is a guarantee of profit.

Under the hood

The math, in the open.

Your share of the network's hashrate decides your share of the 144 blocks mined each day. Power is billed on the machine's rated draw. For the same math per terahash, read bitcoin mining revenue per TH/s per day.

network hashrate = difficulty × 2³² ÷ 600 seconds BTC per day = (your hashrate ÷ network hashrate) × 144 blocks × 3.125 BTC electricity per day = rated power in kW × 24 hours × $ per kWh break even price = electricity per day ÷ BTC per day payback = (hardware price + $30 setup) ÷ net per day

What moves the result

Five inputs decide it.

01 · Hashrate

More hashing, a bigger share

The M70 delivers 214 to 242 TH/s, the M70S 226 to 264 TH/s and the M73 470 to 526 TH/s.

02 · Efficiency

Joules per terahash

It sets the power each terahash needs and is fixed at purchase. The M70S runs at 13.5 J/TH; the M70 and M73 at 14.5.

03 · Power rate

The one you control

Our Southeast Texas rate is $0.07 per kWh all in. US homes averaged 18.3 cents per kWh in July 2026 (EIA).

04 · Difficulty

Adjusts every two weeks

It recalibrates about every 2,016 blocks. Rising difficulty shrinks each miner's share; falling difficulty grows it.

05 · BTC price

Scales revenue linearly

A 10% higher price lifts gross revenue 10%, with everything else held constant.
