Understanding what your hosting rate includes (and what it does not) is essential for comparing providers and calculating total cost of ownership.
What the $0.07/kWh Rate Covers#
1. Power (Electricity)
The electricity your ASIC consumes to hash. This is the largest and most variable component; it scales directly with your hardware's wattage and uptime. At $0.07/kWh, a Whatsminer M70S at a typical 3,500 W draw running 24/7 costs approximately $176/month in electricity.
2. Cooling
Bitcoin ASIC miners generate substantial heat. Facilities must provision cooling infrastructure: air cooling (fans, HVAC, airflow management) for standard machines, and liquid/hydro cooling loops for hydro capable miners like the Whatsminer M73. Our Southeast Texas facility supports both cooling modes. Cooling overhead is included in the all in rate.
3. Racking and Physical Infrastructure
Physical installation in the facility: mounting your hardware in rack positions, power distribution units (PDUs), cabling, and facility overhead costs (building, security, fire suppression). These infrastructure costs are bundled into the all in rate.
4. Network Connectivity
Your miner needs reliable internet access to communicate with your mining pool and submit shares. Network uptime directly affects your effective hashrate; connectivity downtime means lost earnings. This is included in the all in rate.
5. Monitoring and Maintenance
24/7 NOC coverage to monitor miner health, respond to hash rate drops, reboot machines as needed, and escalate hardware issues. This operational layer is included in the all in rate, so you do not pay separately for monitoring.

Why "All In" Matters When Comparing Providers#
Not every hosting provider uses the same definition of their quoted rate. Some facilities advertise a low $/kWh electricity rate and then layer on separate charges for cooling overhead (typically 10 to 20% of electricity), management or monitoring fees, and network fees. The effective all in rate at those facilities can be significantly higher than the headline figure.
